World Snooker Championships 2017: that’s what we’re waiting for on Saturday!

On Saturday, the long-awaited World Snooker Championships is getting underway. Undoubtedly, snooker fans are happy to learn that the draw for the very first round has been already carried out.

Mark Selby, defending champion is going to face off with his counterpart Fergal O’Brien.

O’Brien has already qualified for the major draw, having been David Gilbert 10-9 in a qualifier.

That epic battle came with the longest frame in the history of professional snooker. It took two hours, three minutes and also 41 seconds.

In addition to this, Ronnie O’Sullivan intends to face 2015 winner, Gary Wilson. The former champion Peter Ebdon will be taken on by Stuart Bingham, while Judd Trump will try to withstand Rory McLeod.

Chinese 17-year-old sportsman Yan Bingtao is supposed to have a promising future in the sport. At World Snooker Championships 2017 Bingtao is on the verge of facing off with 2005 world winner Shaun Murphy.

In all-Chinese clash the first appearance will be made by 19-years-old  Zhou Yuelong. He will stumble on the previous year’s winner Ding Junhui.
