Eddie Jones considers leading the Lions in 2021

Eddie Jones, England head coach has just dropped an intriguing hint that it would be interesting for him to lead the British & Irish Lions.

Aged 57 years old, the Australian rugby player guided the Red Rose to back-to-back Six Nations titles. Some sources state that until the end of the 2019 World Cup he has already been contracted to the Rugby Football Union. However, Eddie Jones stressed that after it he would be up for the Lions role.

Eddie revealed he just did his job well and guys told him that they wanted him to coach the Lions, and his intention actually matches their wish.  They just tapped him on the shoulder and asked whether an old chap would like to coach them or not. They just guessed his thoughts.

He added that many folks think that the Lions would be the ultimate rugby experience both for the players and him. So, it’s definitely worth trying.

On Wednesday, for this summer’s tour to New Zealand the 2017 Lions coach, Warren Gatland picked up 16 England players in his 41-man squad.
