To spur FA Cup pressure on Chelsea Mauricio Pochettino claims underdog status for Tottenham

In the build-up to Tottenham’s FA Cup semi-final versus Chelsea Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has suddenly labeled his team the underdogs.

Notwithstanding Spurs go into Saturday’s play at Wembley with the momentum having cut Chelsea’s lead at the top of the Premier League table to 4 points, Mauricio has claimed his side is still stuffed with underdogs.

Mauricio Pochettino is still waiting to grasp his first trophy as a manager. On the contrary, the Tottenham squad boast a slew of winners’ medals.

It’s undoubtedly in contrast to capable Chelsea guys, who have already won plenty of trophies at the club as well as international level. Antonio Conte manages them. While in charge of Juventus, he managed to win up to three Serie A titles.

Mauricio stressed that only Chelsea have grounds to be the favorites, as they boast a skilled manager, not to mention bright players. For the last 5 years, they have won EU competitions and grasped various World Cups. Nevertheless, Mauricio added that Tottenham are in a good shape.
