Daniel Dubois is going to take on Manchester-based Cameroonian Blaise Mendouo. Earlier this month the boxer made his highly-anticipated debut, offering spectators an exciting 35-second knockout of Marcus Kelly. This Saturday, he’s getting back to prove his strength at the Leicester Arena.
It’s going to be Daniel’s seventh senior fight as well as his second in the pro ranks, though Dubois is currently being touted as a hot prospect for the nearer future.
Earlier this month, the heavy-hitting 19-year-old managed to impress Tyson Fury, ex-world champion during a sparring session at his gym in Bolton, where Fury told BoxNation that he reminded of himself when Tyson was 19. So, he considers the young boxer to be a coming king.
In 2015, 32-year-old Mendouo, Daniel’s opponent made his debut against Istvan Orsos and has grasped up to three victories out of his four professional fights.
In his last outing Mendouo lost, facing a points defeat to Sam Hyde. He actually intends to face off with Dubois as a huge underdog.
