Wigan sack Aussie Millward

Wigan have sacked Ian Millward after just 325 days as their coach on Wednesday. The Super League club is battling relegation and after a spate of miserable defeats under Millward, the club decided to let him go. His sacking comes just three days before Wigan are scheduled to face Millward's old club St Helens.

LONDON - France clinched their 15th Six Nations title after a 21-16 victory over defending champions Wales on Saturday. France was tied with Ireland who beat world champions England 28-24, But France won on account of their points difference, which was 148-85 as compared with Ireland's 131-97.

Ireland overcame a listless Wales team 31-5 in the RBS Six Nations Championship match played at Lansdowne Road yesterday. Wales have not been in the best frame of mind, what with the troubles over coach Mike Ruddock's shock resignation and allegations that some players were unable to adjust with him. But that did not appear to bother the Welsh initially as they surged ahead thanks to a Mark Jones try.

Leeds scripted an amazing comeback as they overcame a 16-0 half time score line to beat Wigan Warriors 16-24. The match was heavily loaded in Wigan's favor at half time, but Leeds showed splendid spirit to pull of an unlikely win.
