Disgraced Montgomery admits: I won gold after taking drugs

Disgraced athlete Tim Montgomery admitted he won a gold medal at the 2000 Olympics after taking drugs. Montgomery is currently in prison on fraud and heroin trafficking charges and the IOC said they will take the necessary actions after the sprinters admission.The American said he took testosterone and a human growth hormone before the Sydney Games in 2000, where he won a 4x100m relay gold medal.

British sprinter Tyrone Edgar has warned Usain Bolt he wont have it all his own way in 2009. Pistorius will recover from surgery

Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius is expected to make a full recovery following head and facial injuries sustained in a boating accident. Pistorius underwent surgery in Johannesburg on Sunday and is in a stable condition in intensive care after Saturdays accident.The 22-year-old South African double amputee won three golds at the Paralympics in Beijing last year.
"His brain is functioning normally," said Anchen Laubcher, the principal medical officer of the emergency service which evacuated Pistorius.

Chambers wins 60m Gold in Turin
