MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO, Italy - Giorgio Rocca of Italy flawlessly spun his way to a second slalom of the World Cup season. Rocca had also registered a facile win at Beaver Creek earlier this month and he did not disappoint the vociferous home crowd as he won in one minute 32.26 (two-legged combined time).

MSPs feel sport is under funded in Scotland

A report by Holyrood's Enterprise and Culture Committee in Scotland has called for better funding in sports and has asked for some changes in the way that football is governed in Scotland. The findings of the committee have been published following an 18 month enquiry into the health of sports in Scotland.

Neal McDonald of Ericsson Racing has been forced to reduce speed after his boat developed a snag in keel hydraulics segment in the first leg of the Volvo Ocean Race. This leg will duly be completed when the boat docks in Cape Town.
