Tony Stewart became one of just 14 drivers with multiple titles after winning the NASCAR Nextel Cup championship on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He also did justice to the praise of veteran Mark Martin who called him the best driver of this era.

French driver Nicolas Lapierre scored a double by winning both sprint and feature races in the Aussie round of the A1 Grand Prix series at Eastern Creek yesterday. These wins have taken France to the top of the championship standings with 71 points.
