Speaking after signing the contract, he said: "It's a great relief to me to know that going forward I'll continue to be a Huddersfield Giants player because this is a club that is going places.

"Representing my hometown club is something I'm really proud of. I've seen the club grow over a number of years.

"We seem to have improved in every area and are continuing to improve further."

Head coach Nathan Brown added: "I'm delighted for Leroy - he thoroughly deserves it. He's a good kid whose best years are ahead of him, which is exciting for the club."
