Elima to miss Warriors clash

Rugby story by sport.co.uk, Fri, 26 Feb 2010 08:55:34 GMT

The Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee has handed a one-match ban to Catalans Dragons' acting captain Oliver Elima after he was sent off in Saturday's Super League game against St Helens for a high tackle.

Elima will miss Friday's trip to Wigan Warriors after pole-axing Saints winger Jonny Lomax during the Dragons' 42-12 home defeat on Saturday.

The France national captain admitted his guilt by telephone and was handed the ban as well as being fined £300.

The committee also discovered that Elima had received a warning letter last season over his tackling technique.
