Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi will again deputise for Timo Glock at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend.

Kobayashi debuted for Toyota at the Brazilian Grand Prix, after Glock was ruled out following a crash during qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix last month.

Toyota motorsport president John Howett confirmed: "Having discussed medical advice with Timo and his management, the team has decided to take no risk.

"We feel genuinely sorry for Timo that his season, which has included two impressive podium finishes, is ending in this way.

"Kamui performed well in Brazil in difficult circumstances, so we are happy to ask him to once again deputise."

Kobayashi, 23, showed up well in Brazil, eventually finishing in tenth place, with team-mate Jarno Trulli having crashed out on the opening lap at Interlagos.
