Athletics story by sport.co.uk, Mon, 07 Sep 2009 09:20:30 GMT

Four Jamaican athletes have admitted to taking a banned substance and now face sanctions. The quartet are Yohan Blake, Marvin Anderson, Allodin Fothergill and Lansford Spence.

Blake has recorded the fifth-fastest time over 100m this year and is Olympic champion Usain Bolt's training partner.

Ransford Langrin, the chairman of The Jamaican Anti-Doping Appeals Tribunal, said: "We have to decide what is the sanction we apply - the minimum sanction is a reprimand or up to a two-year ban."

All four athletes were withdrawn by Jamaica from the World Championships in Berlin last month.

The tribunal will announce its punishment for the four athletes on 14 September.
