Tennis story by sport.co.uk, Fri, 03 Jul 2009 09:33:34 GMT

It was another good day for the Williams family at Wimbledon on Thursday, with Venus and Serena winning their semi-finals against Dinara Sarina and Elena Dementieva respectively to book their places in Saturday's final.Five-times champion Venus was in impressive form, overcoming the number one seed 6-1 6-0 in only 51 minutes.

"This is my eighth final and it is a dream come true to have another opportunity to hold the plate up," she said after the match.

"I was able to stay focused and I have so much experience on this court. But the hardest part has to come, to play Serena in the final."

Serena didn't have it so easy, surviving a match point in the final set before eventually winning the match 6-7 (4-7) 7-5 8-6.

"It was really tough," she admitted. "She's been playing so well and has won a lot of matches against me in the past.

"I was not on my best game but my family were so positive. Elena played so well and we gave the crowd a wonderful match."
