Hatton could fight on

Sports story by sports.co.uk, Sat, 20 Jun 2009 01:21:29 GMT

Ricky Hatton has given the strongest hint yet that he could continue boxing by saying he wants to fight at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Hatton was urged to quit following his devastating two-round knockout by Manny Pacquiao last month but he may decide to ignore the calls and carry on.
Pacquiao ruthlessly punished Hatton in Las Vegas at the start of May and added to the defeat against Floyd Mayweather in 2007, the Hitman had been told to hang up his gloves.

But the Mancunian fighter is still tempted by one last crack in the ring. He said: "I have always been treated well by the Welsh and so a comeback fight in Cardiff is not off the cards.

"I have never fought professionally in Wales and the Millennium Stadium is a world class venue."
