Juventus have strictly demanded direct answers from broadcaster Rai right after a recent TV interview with their player Medhi Benatia was edited when the player from Morocco happened to hear a racist remark addressed to him.
Benatia heard someone extend abusive words to him for his Moroccan background in the interview following the draw with Torino on Saturday.
Rai told that it was demonstrating absolute solidarity with the Moroccan player as well as with his football club. However, they stressed that the insulting phrase wasn’t pronounced by an employee of their company.
However, Juventus have just questioned RAI’s version of those events and even complained that the broadcaster hasn’t resorted to excuses yet.
A statement issued on Monday states that following the regrettable abusive remark Medhi Benatia heard during the Calcio Champagne, Juventus Football Club would like to express its sincere concern over the shameful incident.
