Burnley defender Michael Keane is eyed by Tottenham ahead of Eric Dier’s probable exit from White Hart Lane

Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of entering the bidding for Michael Keane, Burnley defender. The move is expected to boost Manchester United’s expectations for landing Eric Dier.

Keane is about to break up with Burnley at the end of the season. Respectively, Premier League title chasers Tottenham are preparing to fight Liverpool and Everton for his signature.

Aside from that, United are also interested in re-signing Keane. Two years ago they sold this player to Burnley for about £2 million, though manager Jose Mourinho is concerned with taking Dier from Spurs.

Tottenham don’t have a desire to let any of their legends leave this summer, though Mourinho is aware of the fact that his expectations of pushing through a deal for Dier would rise if only Keane heads to White Hart Lane.

By the way, Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that he requires exactly versatile players to strengthen his Spurs squad, and he values that Keane has already proved he’s capable of playing on the right side of a back three when making his England debut vs. Germany the previous month.
