Laim Cooper gets a six-game ban for stamp on Reading defender

Defender Laim Cooper of Leeds United gets a six-match ban after accepting a Football Association charge of violent conduct.

The 25-year-old served the first match of his suspension in the 2-0 loss to Brentford on Tuesday, meaning he will not be available until the last match of the regular Sky Bet Championship season at Wigan.

Cooper was charged by the FA after appearing to stamp on the head of Reading defender Reece Oxford – an incident not seen by the match officials – in the 74th minute of Leeds’ 1-0 defeat at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

Laim Cooper will miss the remainder of the season of regular Sky Bet Championship
