Manchester City are eager to move for Juventus’ Leonardo Bonucci

Manchester City have unveiled their intention to make a firm move for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, having made this player their top defensive objective this summer.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City boss is set to radically strengthen his defence at the end of the football season. For this purpose he has picked up Bonucci, already regarded as one of the best center-backs around the world. So, the player has become Manchester City’s number one priority.

By the way, the Italy international player was pursued by City the previous summer, though the football club never made an official bid for Leonardo, with the 29-year-old player telling he was actually tempted by the interest.

In December, Leonardo Bonucci signed a contract extension with Juventus until 2021, but the previous week he told that he could be prepared to make a move to England, having told So Foot that the Premier League was interesting to him.

Guardiola considers Bonucci to be one of the most capable players ever.
